It was low voter turnout in Fulton County for Tuesday’s primary election with just a few contested races.
Voter turnout in Fulton County was just over 13 percent.
Incumbent Fulton County Commissioner Bryan Lewis defeated challenger, former Rochester mayor Ted Denton, 970-360.
An incumbent was defeated in the Fulton County Council District 1 race. Matthew Finke defeated current council vice-president Pete Karras, 207-173. The Finke lead was just 67-64 following absentee and early voting. Finke’s lead increased with a 140-109 margin on Tuesday.
Josh Zehner defeated David Campbell 70-31 in the Democrat primary for Fulton County Council District 4.
In the Democrat primary for U.S. Representative 2nd District, Jamee Decio won Marshall County over Shaun Maeyens, 197-144. That lead grew as totals came in from around the district. As of this report, with 90 percent of the precincts reporting, Decio had over 71 percent of the vote.
