Service professionals, county and civic leaders and business owners were on hand Thursday for the launching of Leadership Lawrence County.
The initiative is to develop community relations and empower those interested in helping to move forward with positive change locally in the future.
The program was held at the Lawrenceville Armory and featured an informational discussion by a panel of prominent citizens on how it would benefit the Lawrence County community. It was stressed that the program would include all of the county and not just Lawrenceville. It is also hoped that it will help retain Lawrence County youth and convince them to live their lives and raise their families here.
