Lawrence County Memorial Hospital LCMH) in Lawrenceville is the recipient of $450,000 federal grant from the office of senior U.S Senator Richard Durbin.
The announcement made by hospital Chief Executive Officer Amy Hurley Wednesday at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting at COCOs in Lawrenceville.
Hurley told GIANT-FM News that the money will be used for medical technology upgrades at the medical facility. Among the planned uses are the addition of a new med cabinet, which is an automatic pharmacy dispensing machine. Its use will enhance both employee and patient safety. A new anesthesia machine purchase for addition to the surgical services department will be obtained.
Hurley also announced that urology services are scheduled to begin at the hospital April 1st.
