A memorable day Wednesday for Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH) located in Lawrenceville.
The medical facility located at 2200 State Street celebrated its 75th anniversary. It began operations back in 1950 and has provided for the healthcare needs of Lawrence County and its citizens ever since.
County, civic and hospital leaders were on hand for a formal dedication ceremony on the front grounds of the hospital campus. Lawrenceville Mayor David Courtney read a proclamation naming the date as "Lawrence County Memorial Hospital Day" in the city and hospital board chairman Carl Aten recognized the administrative team and staff and dedicated a commemorative plaque marking the occasion. The celebration continued later in the day at the Lawrenceville City Park with a free public picnic
