The Lawrenceville City Council met in regular session Thursday night at City Hall. They were updated by Mayor David Courtney on the progress of the new Farm Credit project. He did meet with officials from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the company at the location Wednesday. It was indicated that plans are to have the project bid in June and construction underway in mid-August. The council did approve the 2023-24 Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) street and alley maintenance program upon recommendation of Aaron Mefford. Mayor Courtney also announced that the Lawrenceville City Park Pool is scheduled to open Saturday May 25th for the summer season.
