The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is reminding local and area shoppers to use caution when online shopping on Cyber Monday.
Scammers frequently exploit the increased online activity with bogus schemes and fraudulent offers.
Shoppers are advised to use only trusted legitimate websites and avoid public Wi-Fi for online purchases and carefully verify unexpected emails or messages before clicking any links.
The chamber also reminds people to shop local online businesses during the holiday season.
