Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th in Dubois County Superior Court in southwestern Indiana for a local southeastern Illinois woman.
38-year-old Melinda Potts of Lawrenceville pled guilty last week to Dealing in Methamphetamine. As part of a negotiated plea agreement, Potts will face 16 years in prison (with 12 to be served).
She, along with a co-defendant in the case, 41-year-old Eldra Graves from Alton, Illinois, were arrested after authorities discovered close to 110 grams of meth inside their vehicle after a traffic stop in Jasper, Indiana in August of 2025.
