The Kokomo Summer Concert Series will get underway on Saturday, June 7, with The Blooze Brothers and opening act Tyler Lance Walker Gill.
The Blooze Brothers is a high-powered, choreographed 11-piece show band from Chicago is known for its dynamic performances spanning swing, Motown, soul, R&B, and classic rock.
The performances will begin at 6 p.m. in the Kokomo Performing Arts Pavilion at Foster Park, 721 E. Superior St.
For over three decades, The Blooze Brothers have been one of Chicagoland’s most in-demand show bands, covering music from the 1940s to today, including swing, Motown, soul, R&B, classic rock, and, of course, the music and antics of the original Blues Brothers.
The band has performed at prestigious events such as a presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C., and entertained 70,000 fans during the NHL Winter Classic at Soldier Field.
Tyler Lance Walker Gill delivers high-energy honky-tonk music with a sharp wit, blending classic country influences with modern storytelling. His songs, often laced with humor and heartfelt honesty, capture the spirit of working-class life, small-town charm, and the highs and lows of a good night out.
Presented by the City of Kokomo and running through September, the Summer Soundtrack in the Heart of Kokomo series brings together top-tier national and regional acts alongside local food vendors and community activities, creating unforgettable evenings of live music.
While there is some bleacher seating available, those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and blanket for a perfect evening under the stars. The event is free and open to the public.
Already announced in the series is the End of Summer Banger featuring Everclear, Local H and Sponge on Saturday, Sept. 27.
