A search warrant in a Starke County narcotics investigation led to an arrest Friday.
On Friday evening, deputies with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2600 East block of 150 South in Knox. The search warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation by detectives with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department into narcotics related activity at the residence.
As a result of the search, narcotics including suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine were located inside the home, in addition to a firearm.
Kyle Sanders, 43, of Knox, along with a juvenile were located inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed. Investigators with the Indiana Department of Child Services were contacted to respond to the scene due to the juvenile living in the home.
Sanders was held on preliminary charges related to narcotics possession as well as neglect of a dependent. Formal charges are pending review by the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
