A Knox County woman who is accused of attempted murder made her initial court appearance in Knox County on Wednesday.
23-year-old Anitra Miller appeared before Knox County Circuit Court Judge, Monica Gilmore and entered a not guilty plea. Miller was appointed attorney Gary Brock to represent her.
The final omnibus date in the case is set for October 20, final pretrial conference was set for November 14. Jury trial was set for December 2. Judge Gilmore set a bond at $75,000 for Miller.
According to court documents, Miller is officially charged with attempted murder and battery by means of a deadly weapon. Information in the case dates by to November of 2024.
Also in court on Wednesday, Judge Gilmore issued a no-contact order between Miller and the victim in the case.
Miller was arrested upon her release from the Lake County Jail on Tuesday, after serving a 18-month sentence for Domestic Battery, resulting in moderate bodily injury.
