The Knox County (Ind.) engineer has resigned his position.
Matthew Holden submitted his letter of resignation to the Knox County Commissioners at their session Tuesday night.
He was hired as the county engineer back in 2023 from his native Gibson County. Holden indicated that a desire to return to his former position in that county led him to make the decision to leave.
Holden will remain on the job through the end of the 2025 project season as the search for his replacement begins.
