The popular Kiwanis Kids Triathlon is getting an exciting makeover this year, transforming into a kids' obstacle course event open to children ages 5 through 12.
The revamped event features age-appropriate challenges for two groups of participants. Younger competitors, ages 5 to 8, will take on a one-mile bike ride, a half-mile run, and then navigate the obstacle course. Older kids, ages 9 to 12, will face a tougher challenge with a two-mile bike ride, a one-mile run, and the obstacle course.
Registration for the event opens at 8:00 a.m., with competition kicking off at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child from the same family.
Families can pre-register online at www.givegrove/kids2026. Kiwanis has extended the t-shirt registration deadline to May 8th, giving everyone an opportunity to sign up and secure a shirt. Registration will remain open after that date, though t-shirts will not be guaranteed for late sign-ups.
Organizers also want to reassure families that the event will wrap up in plenty of time for participants to make it to any graduation open houses scheduled for the same day.
It promises to be a fun-filled morning of activity and friendly competition for the whole family!
