A Bremen man was arrested Friday for a Level 1 felony count of child molesting.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Department obtained information of a sexual relationship between 27-year-old Jorge Luis Lara of Bremen and a 13-year-old victim.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Department, Bremen Police Department, and Department of Child Services then started investigating the information related to the incident.
Officer Trent Miles of the Bremen Police Department, along with Lt. Detective Les McFarland of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, began conducting interviews and gathering evidence based on the information obtained.
On Friday, October 17, Jorge Luis Lara was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Child Molesting as a Level 1 felony. He is currently being held on a $200,000 cash bond.
