Officer Wallace with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a pair of men from Fort Wayne on Monday after a County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30.
At approximately 10:25 p.m. Monday, a county officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the vicinity of U.S. 30 and King Road. During the stop, the smell of marijuana was detected coming from inside the vehicle, prompting the deputy to request assistance from additional units, including Plymouth Police.
Marshall County deputies searched the vehicle and found suspected marijuana along with a small number of unidentified pills.
The two subjects in the vehicle, 23-year-old Keshaun Lamar Woods and Immanuel Ryshawn Walker, 26, were taken into custody by Officer Wallace with Plymouth PD. He transported them to the Marshall County Jail, where they were booked in for possession of a legend drug and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction.
Both Woods and Walker were given a court date with Marshall County Superior Court II and cash bonds of $1,500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
