A Marshall County Police Officer working the Operation Pull Over Blitz arrested a Plymouth driver speeding on U.S. 31.

Just after 8 a.m. today, Deputy Williams made a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 31 at 17th Road. The officer stopped the vehicle for going 77 mph in a posted 60 mph zone. The driver, 38-year-old Rodrigo Correa Camacho of Indianapolis, was found to have a driving status of suspended prior and had never received a license.

Camacho was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
