The Inaugural Henry Albrecht Memorial Fund Walk-A-Thon will take place on April 12 at Morristown Community Park.
All proceeds will benefit the Henry Albrecht Memorial Fund as Morristown Matters aims to raise $25,000 over the next three years, which will ensure the fund continues.
Check in will begin at 8 a.m. with walking to commence at 9 a.m. The walk will end at 2 p.m.
Registration is open until the day of the event for individuals, teams, children and even dogs.
There will be bounce houses for kids, a visit from the Easter bunny, snacks and water for the walkers. The concession stand also will be open.

“My team (From Mischief to Miles) is honored to participate in this year’s Walk-A-Thon in memory of Henry Albrecht (photo), a man who meant so much to our community,” said Danielle Ebbert. “Henry was more than just a friend, mentor and protector – he was a guiding force in our lives, always ensuring our safety and offering his unwavering support when we needed it most.
“His kindness, dedication and leadership helped shape countless individuals as they grew from childhood to adulthood. This event is our way of honoring Henry’s legacy, showing our love and respect for someone who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Through our participation, we hope to keep his spirit alive and continue the impact he had on so many. I hope that many others join in and register to come out and walk, even if they are not able to gather donations. Their participation is their way of showing their support and I know Henry would be so proud of our community.”
