The Heartland Art Center will debut The Artist's Table, a new intimate dining experience combining visual art, fine cuisine, and live performance, on Friday, January 24.
The inaugural event, limited to a select number of guests, will feature a five-course dinner inspired by the work of featured artist Alan Larkin. The evening runs from 6-9 p.m., with arrival at 5:30 p.m. and prompt seating at 6 p.m.
Each course of the evening's menu has been thoughtfully curated to reflect Larkin's artistic style, process, and creative voice. The meal will be prepared by Chef Matt Kolacz, French-trained at Le Cordon Bleu and head chef at Gather 2 Graze in Plymouth.
Adding to the immersive atmosphere, the evening will feature live music and live painters, allowing guests to experience creativity unfolding in real time while dining in the gallery setting.
Chef Matt Kolacz is a Plymouth native known for his refined yet approachable cooking style. Formerly Executive Chef at One Ten Craft Meatery in Warsaw, Kolacz emphasizes seasonal ingredients, local sourcing, and careful composition—making him an ideal fit for this artist-inspired dining experience.
Alan Larkin is an accomplished painter and printmaker celebrated for his strong sense of composition, quiet narrative, and technical precision. Drawing from still life, natural elements, and imaginative arrangements, his work offers a thoughtful and engaging visual experience.
Ticket prices are $125 per person and include the five-course chef-designed dinner, live music and live painting performances, an immersive gallery dining experience, and wine and beverage pairings available (non-alcoholic options available)
Due to the intimate nature of the experience, seating is limited. Interest has been strong, and tickets will only be available through January 19. The Heartland Art Center encourages interested guests to reserve a table soon.
