With flu and respiratory illness cases on the rise, Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in Vincennes is taking steps to help keep everyone safe.
In order to protect patients, visitors, and caregivers, the hospital is asking patients seeking outpatient services who are experiencing flu-like or other respiratory symptoms to wear a mask while inside hospital facilities.
GSH officials say that the other restrictions at the hospital remain in effect as normal. No visitors allowed with any symptoms of illness such as fever, cough, headache, muscle and joint pain, sore throat and runny nose. No visitors allowed under the age of 16 and only 2 visitors allowed in inpatient units during visiting hours, which are 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. ET.
