The event features 20 teams of celebrity chefs competing for support of their chili and the United Way.
The United Way of Knox County will be sponsoring the Great Bowls of Fire version 3 on November 2.
The event will be at Patrick Henry Square in Downtown Vincennes from 1:00 to 5:00.The event features 20 teams of celebrity chefs competing for support of their chili and the United Way. Teams can be viewed by texting the word Chili to 30306 or by going on line to https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vfu/CHILI.
Teams will be competing for online donations to their efforts from now until the event. The taster’s choice winner will be determined by votes of the public attending the event.
The cook off will allow participants to sample all 20 of the locally prepared chilis and vote for their favorite with a $5 entry fee. The live event will also feature the Lincoln Trail Mobile Farm - free for kids, live music with Big D, Faith & Treason, Jared and Luke, and Just One More. A beer garden from the Vincennes Brewing company and Fosters Frosters will be serving.
The event is sponsored by Farbest Foods, First Vincennes Savings Bank, Old National Bank, and SWMD Knox County recycling. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Knox County.
