Shelby County Coroner Bradley Rund released information that a forensic autopsy was completed Tuesday in the shooting death of a Shelbyville teenager.
Adalina Perez, 17, was declared dead at the scene. Officers with the Shelbyville Police Department responded Monday to the 400 block of West Washington Street in reference to a reported shooting.
Perez had sustained a gunshot wound.

This incident remains under active investigation. Jayden Matthew McQueary (photo), age 18, has been taken into custody and booked into the Shelby County Jail with a charge of reckless homicide.
A juvenile also was taken into custody and transported to a juvenile detention facility.

The Shelbyville Central School Corporation sent a correspondence to families to make them aware that counselors and support staff will be available at Shelbyville High School throughout the week for any students or staff members who wish to speak to someone.
