The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the Tippecanoe River near Ora affecting Marshall, Starke, Pulaski, Fulton, and Kosciusko Counties.
For the Tippecanoe River...including Ora, Winamac, Norway Dam... Minor flooding is forecast. The Yellow River at Plymouth affects Marshall, St. Joseph, and Starke Counties. For the Yellow River...including Plymouth and Knox, minor flooding is forecast. Flooding is expected from Wednesday morning to late Friday morning.
IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, some residential and commercial properties near the Jefferson Street Bridge begin to flood.
At 9:45 AM Tuesday the stage was 10.1 feet. The National Weather Service is forecasting the river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning and crest at 13.3 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below the flood stage late Thursday morning. Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
