A Mishawaka woman was killed in a farming accident in Inwood this morning.
The Marshall County Coroner was notified of a death on the 11,000 block of Hawthorn Road, east of Plymouth in Marshall County, Thursday morning.
A 911 call placed shortly before 10:00 Thursday morning sent emergency responders from the Plymouth and Bremen Fire Departments to a female caught in a grain bin.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office investigation found that 58-year-old Marilyn K. Miller was working inside a grain bin to loosen stuck grain. Miller was pulled further into the bin when the grain began to move downward towards the auger.
An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in determining the cause of death.
