Dustin’s Place is hosting something brand new event this spring, the first-ever, _____ & Me Dance on Thursday, March 12.
This night will be very special and includes dinner. The _____ & Me Dance was created to ensure every child has a place on the dance floor. For many of the children served by Dustin’s Place, events like “Mommy & Me” or “Daddy & Me” dances can quietly bring up loss or remind them of how different they feel.
Executive Director Viki Brown said, “This night changes that.” Explaining, Brown said each child gets to choose who they bring to the dance. No labels. No explanations. Just a fun, joyful night where kids can dress up, dance, laugh, and feel like they belong.
Dustin’s Place is seeking community support for the first annual _____ & Me Dance on March 12th. Individuals, businesses, or industries can sponsor a child for just $55, allowing them to attend the dinner and dance for free. Any business or organization can partner with Dustin’s Place to help cover the cost for kids, or the community can simply mark their calendars and plan to come dance with a child.
Brown said, “We truly need our community to make this happen, and every bit of support helps create a night these kids won’t forget because every child deserves a place on the dance floor.”
