Steve Gorski has announced his candidacy for Marshall County Recorder in the 2026 Republican primary election.

Gorski currently serves as a deputy in the Marshall County Recorder's office, where he has gained firsthand experience with the office's operations and responsibilities.

Gorski brings more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing management to the race. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, where he graduated cum laude.

His professional credentials include ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification, which specializes in document and record-keeping systems—skills directly applicable to the recorder's office, which maintains vital public records, including property deeds, mortgages, and land transactions.

Gorski has outlined three priorities for his campaign:

  • Ensuring transparency and accuracy in public records
  • Continuing effective service to the community
  • Providing leadership with integrity

The Marshall County Recorder is responsible for recording and maintaining public documents related to real estate transactions and other legal records. The position is elected for a four-year term.

The Republican primary election will be held in May 2026, with the general election in November 2026.
