Time is running out for eligible homeowners to apply for grant funding through the Marshall County Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project. All applications must be submitted by Friday, May 15.
The Marshall County Commissioners are partnering with the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) to bring another round of grant funding to low-income individuals and families in the county. Qualified homeowners can receive grant money to have critical improvements made to their homes at no cost.
The grant program covers a range of essential home repairs and upgrades, including:
- Roof repair or replacement
- ADA accessibility upgrades up to the threshold of the home
- Heating and cooling system replacement
- Select lighting and electrical upgrades
- Water heater replacement
To be eligible, applicants must be a Marshall County resident who owns their home, and uses it as their primary residence. Additionally, household income must not exceed 80% of the median household income for the area. The income limits for Marshall County residents are as follows:

The application is approximately 10 to 15 pages and can be found online at www.co.marshall.in.us. Once on the site, look for the application under "Recent News" on the home screen. Completed applications must be submitted to the Marshall County Auditor's office by May 15, 2026.
