On Monday, deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were working on the DUI task force assignment and arrested two individuals.

County deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Monday. While talking with the driver, 34-year-old Joshua D. Robinson of Chicago, a strong smell of marijuana emanated from the vehicle.

Marshall County Deputies located approximately two ounces of marijuana.

Robinson was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail at 8:30 p.m., and booked in for possession of marijuana. He was held on a $250 cash bond.

Two hours and 20 minutes later, he was released on bond.

County deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 10:06 p.m. Monday. While interacting with the driver, 44-year-old Ryan W. Haynes of South Bend, the County Deputy observed an open container in the vehicle.

After an investigation, it was believed the Haynes had operated the vehicle while intoxicated. He was handcuffed and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Haynes was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
