The Marshall County Council, Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, and Common Council all meet on Monday.

The County Council will conduct its regular meeting at 9 a.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the Marshall County Building.
The agenda has reports from the Highway, Budget and Finance, and Job Classification and Compensation subcommittees.

The agenda also includes an update on ONE Marshall County, the annual update from Bowen Health, and an update on the county self-insured program from Gibson Insurance.  The sheriff will present the commissary report, and the EMA Director is asking to apply for the Emergency Management Performance Grant.

Following their regular meeting, the County Council will hear the first reading of the 2026 budget.  This is typically a fund-by-fund review of requests.

At 6 p.m., the Board of Public Works and Safety meets in the second-floor Council Chambers of City Hall.  They will hear from department heads, and the Building Commissioner will open quotes for the demolition of The Pointe Apartments at 309 Gibson Street and hear two requests for street closures.  The agenda also includes a discussion of the Historic Fire Station and an update on a major water leak on the second floor that caused the ceiling on the first floor to fall.

The Plymouth City Council meets right after the Board of Works.  The council will hear two amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, one for accessory structures and the second for murals.  The city council will consider an ordinance to create a municipal wheel tax for the city and hear a monetary request from the Marshall County Boys and Girls Club for support.

The County Council meeting and the city meetings are streamed live on their respective YouTube channels.
