A Clinton man found himself behind bars for his role in a burglary.
According to documents, deputies were called to the Lyford Storage Units for a burglary in progress and when they arrived, they found a storage unit had been broken into but no suspects.
A witness told police they confronted two men, who left in a black, Jeep Patriot. Shortly after, police arrested Timothy Dowers, 48, Clinton, in Rockville and booked him in the Parke County Jail on a charge of burglary.
Court documents show Dowers was due in court Thursday afternoon for an initial hearing. Documents also show Dowers has an extensive criminal history, including charges of possession of meth, theft, failure to return to lawful detention and domestic battery.
The Rockville Police Department and Clinton City Police Department helped with the investigation.
