City police arrested the driver of a speeding motorcycle for operating without a license.

On Monday, June 16th, at approximately 7:50 P.M., a Plymouth Police Officer observed a motorcycle speeding northbound on Michigan Street. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Michigan and Charles Streets.

During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Enrique Perez Salazar, 23, of Elkhart was operating the motorcycle without ever obtaining a driver's license. He was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and lodged for operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.  Salazar was held on a $100 cash bond for about 90 minutes.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
