A Bremen driver was arrested Monday evening following a traffic stop on North Michigan Street, north of Jefferson Street.

At about 7:40, Officer Lovely with the Plymouth Police Department was on routine patrol and observed a silver SUV driving northbound on Michigan Streed in the center of the northbound lanes, over the lane dividing line.

Officer Lovely initiated a traffic stop. When he asked the driver for his license and insurance, the driver said he didn’t have a driver's license. The vehicle also had an expired registration.

The driver, 34-year-old Celvin Martines-Avilez, provided an out-of-country ID card. He was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for driving without ever having obtained a license with a prior as a class A misdemeanor, and the vehicle was impounded.
