City Police arrest 2 for driving infractions Friday morning

Friday morning, March 27th, at approximately 12:39, a Plymouth Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive after discovering that the registered owner had a suspended license.

The driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Kenshowa T. Snow, of Kokomo, was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail at 1:36 a.m. He was booked and released at 2:07 a.m. after posting a cash bond.  

Officer Enyart with the Plymouth Police Department was traveling southbound on North Michigan Street at 1 a.m. Friday, when he observed a vehicle turning southbound onto Jefferson Street with no operable taillights.

During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver, Edin Reyes Mejia, 24, of the 700 block of North Michigan Street in Plymouth, was operating the vehicle without ever receiving a driver's license. He was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail at 2:21 a.m. with a charge of operating without ever receiving a license.  His cash bond was posted at 2:52, and Reyes Mejia was released on bond.  

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
