Officers from the Plymouth Police Department arrested two individuals for driving without having a driver’s license.
On Friday at 6:30 p.m., officer Fisher conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Western Avenue north of North Street. The vehicle was traveling 50-mph in a 35-mph zone.
The driver was identified as Enco Morales Santiago, 23, from the 11,000 block of 14th Road in Plymouth. He was taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, and booked in at 7:21 p.m. for operating a vehicle without a license and given a $100 cash bond.
At 8:14 P.M. Morales Santiago was released on bond.

Sunday at 2:15 p.m., officer Krynock was patrolling North Michigan Street and saw a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Rigoberto Hernandes Castillo of the 900 block of West Harrison Street commit a traffic infraction. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1900 block of North Michigan Street and Castillo was found to be operating the vehicle without ever having received a license.
Castillo Hernandes was lodged in the Marshall County Jail on a $100 cash bond for driving without a license. He had two warrants for contempt of court and his bond was increased to $2,250.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
