A hearing on an Order to Take Action for the Red Rock Inn will be held during the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on Monday evening.
An Order to Evacuate the bottom floor of the motel was issued on Friday, October 17th. The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office and Marshall County Health Department found several serious violations, including fire safety hazards, structural maintenance deficiencies, and confirmed infestation of insects.
With a Fire Watch Plan in place, residents have until the end of October to find other living facilities.
The owners of the Red Rock Inn will be attending the meeting tonight.
Board of Public Works and Safety members may continue their discussion on a proposed partnership agreement with Future Habitat. The proposed partnership agreement was tabled at the last meeting. Also tabled was a request for directional signs for the DAV by Jay Buchtel. Buchtel was asked to attend the meeting to explain his request.
The Board will also get an update on the Water Street Parking Lot and Alley paving behind the Water Street Townhouses.
The Common Council will consider an ordinance regarding garbage fees and a resolution considering the addition of a project in TIF District #3, along with a resolution adopting the updated Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA) Transition Plan for Pedestrians in the public right-of-way.
The city meetings are streamed live on their YouTube channel and are open to the public. Participants should enter through the Garro Street door and move to the second floor.
