Anna Keitzman, President of the Heartland Arts Center, presented an application for the Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant before the Plymouth Common Council on Monday night.
City Attorney Jeff Houin presented the resolution to approve the application for the rebate grant.
Kietzman said the request is for a new roof on the Center at 214 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth. She presented two quotes for the roofing project, one from Dudeck Roofing & Sheet Metal and another from Wolf Commercial Roofing. Kietzman said both bids submitted were for $200,000.
The city council unanimously approved the resolution, which provides up to 20% of the project or a maximum of $25,000. Heartland will receive the maximum amount once the project is completed.
