The Saint Joseph County Union Township Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 11th at 6 p.m. in the Township Trustee’s Office at the Lakeville/Union Township Fire Department, 117 South Main Street in Lakeville.
The meeting is for the proposed issuance of notes of the Township pursuant to Indiana Code in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2 million for the purpose of procuring funds to be applied to the cost of financing costs related to the installation of emergency lifesaving equipment and medical supplies on the Union Township ambulance. The funds will also cover repairs to the ambulance and employing certified staff to operate the ambulance to allow the Township to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) transport together with expenses including capitalized interest on the notes and all expenses incurred in connection with or on account of the issuance of the notes.
A public hearing on Tuesday, March 11th at 6 p.m. will be held to provide the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed financing of the expenditures by the issuance of the notes and the additional appropriations of the proceeds of the notes which is in addition to all appropriation provided for in the existing budget and tax levy.
