Chris Lloyd arrested for domestic battery and resisting

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the area of Webster Elementary School at South Michigan Street and Oakhill Avenue Wednesday morning for the report of a domestic battery in progress.

A witness told Officer Witkowski that he saw a male subject choke a female and throw her on the ground. As officers arrived, the male subject fled the area on foot. Officers pursued him on foot and apprehended him just north of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Christopher William Lloyd, 23, of Plymouth, was charged with domestic battery and resisting law enforcement. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was issued a bond and a court date.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
