“Celebration of the Arts Week” at The REES continues Tuesday with two free events.

At 2 p.m., the in-depth documentary covering the meticulous process of building the Opus 83 Taylor & Boody Pipe Organ at the Ancilla Domini Chapel will be shown. It explores the fascinating journey of this instrument from conception to creation, highlighting the craftsmanship and historic significance of this musical masterpiece.

Enjoy music videos that feature the dynamic range and sonic beauty of the Opus 83, bringing classical compositions to life. Andrew Jennings, director of liturgy and music for the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, and other experts will discuss the cultural and musical importance of the pipe organ in sacred and classical musical traditions.

At 7:30 p.m., our neighbor, The Wild Rose Moon, offers Arts in Action in Service to the Community.

“The Moon” will feature a taped performance by Warsaw native Andrew Bates and his bluegrass band of Julie Bates, Brian McCarty, and Brandon Day. It was recorded for the WVPE and WNIT-TV production, “The Wild Rose Moon Radio Hour.” This one-hour production set the table for fun with the band’s superb musicianship.

Both events are free and will run for one hour. People are asked to download advanced tickets for each show at reestheatre.com or pick them up at Na Rie Simple Treasures, 104 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, or at the door 45 minutes before the show.
