The 1942 classic “Casablanca” is the Seasoned Citizens Matinee on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at The REES. Starring Humphrey Bogart as nightclub owner Rick Blaine and Ingrid Bergman as his old flame Ilsa, the Oscar-winning “Casablanca” is rated as one of the top 50 movies of all time.
“Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.”
Rick and Ilsa’s worlds collide when she and her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), come to Casablanca. Laszlo is wanted by the Nazis and the couple is seeking illicit letters to escape. Ilsa knows Rick can help them, but their romantic past complicates matters.

People 55 and over receive a free popcorn and non-alcoholic drink with their $5 ticket. Tickets are available online at reestheatre.com; Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth; and at the box office 45 minutes before the 2 p.m. movie.
