Carver arrested at Economy Inn for invasion of privacy

On Tuesday, January 7th, around 10:15 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a third-party call advising of a protection order violation at the Economy Inn.

Plymouth Police officers were dispatched to the area. During their investigation, they learned that twenty-nine-year-old Michael L. Carver of the Economy Inn in Plymouth was in violation of a protection order and was taken into custody.

Carver was transported to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and booked in for invasion of privacy, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He was held on a $500 cash bond but was held on an automatic 24-hour hold before being eligible to bond due to the invasion of privacy of charge.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
