Buchanan man arrested by city police

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department arrested a Buchanan, Michigan man Sunday afternoon, September 29th, after he was found to be speeding on Hoham Drive. 

City officers stopped a vehicle on Hoham Drive that was speeding 47 mph in a 35-mph zone. The driver was identified as Ronald Adams, 42, from Buchanan, Michigan.

During the traffic stop, it was determined that Adams' license was canceled out of Michigan and suspended prior out of Indiana. It was also determined that the plates on the vehicle were false and fictitious, and the plates that were supposed to be on the vehicle were expired.

Adams was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for driving while suspended prior and given a court date and bond.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
