Residents of the city of Bridgeport will soon be able to clean up their properties and get rid of unwanted items.
The city council Tuesday approved three days for the annual City-Wide Cleanup. The dates are Wednesday, May 27th, Thursday, May 28th, and Friday, May 29th with the cleanup crews from Republic Services starting on the east side of the city and moving west. City officials say that items that will and will not be taken in the cleanup will be advertised on the city Facebook page and at City Hall and on GIANT-FM WAKO.
The council also approved a fiscal year 2026-27 city budget of approximately $1.8 million dollars and the annual appropriations ordinance which governs city spending. They also entered into a 3-year intergovernmental agreement with the city of Sumner for the purchase of water during that period.
