Bremen Public Schools honor Tony “The Boss” Ross with naming of broadcasting

Wednesday night the Bremen School Board unanimously approve a proclamation honoring Tony Ross and named the broadcasting area in their new press box in his name.

Whereas, Tony Ross was a beloved voice in the Plymouth, Knox, and Bremen communities, whose dedication to local radio and sports enriched the lives of countless individuals; and

Whereas, Tony began his illustrious career at WKVI Radio, later joining WTCA in Plymouth for nearly 20 years, and ultimately helping to launch MAX 98.3 FM in 2015, becoming a pillar in the broadcasting community; and

Whereas, Tony, a man of profound faith and professionalism, was not only a broadcaster but a dedicated servant of the community, deeply involved in numerous local organizations, shining a light on their efforts through his work on the airwaves; and

Whereas, Tony was a true champion for Bremen Athletics, embracing the unique spirit that makes Bremen Schools a special place. He understood the athletes, their triumphs and challenges, and sought to showcase their talents to the community and beyond; and

Whereas, his passion for sports, his meticulous attention to detail in covering athletes’ achievements, and his enthusiasm for fostering pride in local sports brought joy and unity to the people he served; and

Whereas, in recognition of his legacy and unwavering commitment to the community, Bremen High School is honored to name the broadcasting area in its new press box the Tony "The Boss" Ross Broadcast Booth, where a commemorative plaque, generously donated by anonymous donors, will be placed to forever acknowledge his contributions; and

Whereas, Tony’s warmth, kindness, and devotion to local sports and broadcasting will be forever cherished, and his legacy will continue through the countless memories and lives he touched;

Now, therefore, we, the Bremen Public Schools Board of School Trustees, do hereby proclaim this tribute to Tony “The Boss” Ross in his honor, as we celebrate his lasting impact on our community, both on and off the air.
