U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) recently announced a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Lawrence County.
The funding, awarded through the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, will be used to strengthen overdose response efforts in the region.
“Far too many families in Southern Illinois have felt the devastating impact of the opioid crisis,” said Bost. “This funding will help Lawrence County expand its response efforts, save lives, and provide much-needed resources to combat addiction in our communities.”
