Bohacek: Applications open for Indiana Senate Page Program

State Senator Mike Bohacek (R-Michiana Shores) announced today that the Indiana Senate is now accepting applications for its prestigious 2026 Senate Page Program. This unique full-day program offers students in grades 6 through 12 an immersive experience in state government during the upcoming legislative session.

Participants in the Senate Page Program will have the opportunity to tour the historic Indiana Statehouse, observe legislative debates directly from the Senate floor, and assist staff with age-appropriate tasks. A highlight for many students is the chance to meet and interact with their state senator.

"I truly enjoy connecting with young students from our local community each year when they visit the Statehouse as pages," said Sen. Bohacek. "It's an invaluable experience for them to see state government in action firsthand. I strongly encourage any students interested in learning more about our legislative process to consider paging with us during the upcoming session."

The program is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and will run throughout the legislative session. Pages are typically scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with their day running from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Groups may also serve together on Wednesdays. Indiana law permits eligible students to serve as a Senate Page for one day per legislative session and receive an excused absence from school for their participation. Due to high demand, interested students are encouraged to apply early as positions fill quickly.

To apply, students or parents should submit an application corresponding to their preferred paging date. Once submitted, the Senate Page Office will contact applicants to confirm the date and ensure all required participation forms are completed.
