Shelby County residents wishing to make a monetary donation to help with the hurricane relief and recovery efforts in North Carolina can make a donation to the Shelby County Disaster Recovery Fund at Blue River Community Foundation until October 31.

Donations will not be endowed or charged a fee; funding will immediately be distributed to nonprofits and other charitable organizations as determined by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
