The National Weather Service (NWS) says prepare to be in the deep freeze for a few days.
They are forecasting below normal winter temperatures and low wind chills, especially during the overnight hours.
Daytime temperatures are expected to stay below freezing and wind chills will drop to around zero or below.
In addition, a weak storm system is expected to bring a period of snow to the region starting Thursday night into Friday.
A light accumulation is likely.
