A 54-year-old Argos man was arrested Tuesday evening after deputies responded to a report of a male pointing a firearm at his wife and son at a rural Marshall County residence.
According to a news release from Deputy Prater of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, deputies and Argos Police Department officers responded to 17,623 Kenilworth Road at approximately 5:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Shawn Barenie, 54. Following an investigation into the incident, Barenie was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on charges of Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon and Pointing a Firearm.
Barenie is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Argos Police Department.
