The Argos Farmers Market is back open for the season, bringing fresh local produce, handmade goods, and community spirit to the heart of downtown Argos every Friday evening.
The market, which was launched last year following a community effort to bring a weekly gathering to the area, is held at Nickel Plate Square in the center of downtown Argos. It runs each Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
Each week, shoppers can browse a variety of vendors offering fresh local produce, baked goods, flowering and vegetable plants, and handmade artisan items.
Organizers encourage visitors to make a full evening of it by stopping in at one of the local downtown restaurants before or after shopping — a great way to support the community's small businesses at the same time.
For up-to-date information on vendor lineups, special events, and weekly announcements, residents can follow the Town of Argos Facebook Page.
