The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will be conducting active assailant / active shooter response training this week at the Doe Creek School Building.
Training is scheduled to begin Monday and run through Friday. Deputies and supporting units will be on-site practicing tactical response procedures as part of ongoing readiness efforts to keep our community safe. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office wants to emphasize that this is a planned exercise and there is no cause for alarm.
Residents in and around the Doe Creek School Building on C.R. 200 South near New Palestine may see an increased law enforcement presence, including marked patrol vehicles and emergency lighting, during scheduled training hours this week.
