A call for an unwanted person resulted in arrest of two individuals by city police

Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to U.S.  30 eastbound from the west county line on Wednesday, May 21st, at 6:15 p.m. for a wanted person.

An officer from the Sheriff’s Department located the vehicle on U.S. 30, west of Oak Drive, and conducted a traffic stop.  The female who was wanted, Alesa L. Grocock of Rome City, was taken into custody and held for another county.

After running the driver's information, it was determined that Kendall Robertson, 25, of Kendallville, had a warrant out of Noble County.   He was also taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, and booked in with an out-of-county hold.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
